I accidentally booked a room for a future date because I was scrambling, along with everyone else, to find a hotel with availability after the solar eclipse. I called to ask for a refund and was told that it could not be issued and it would cost me an additional $84 to cancel my room (I booked the room for $70). What company makes you pay more to cancel than what you paid to book the room. I understand for a cancellation fee if it was the day of, but to not allow a refund for a reservation that is 2 weeks out...that is just outrageous. It is unfortunate that I will be avoiding this hotel company because they would not issue a refund.
Very clean room, hot breakfast was great. Staff very friendly,
Great for a moderately priced motel. Rooms were clean, neat and we'll maintained. Nice free breakfast. Competent and friendly staff. My only issue is a safety related, in that all the fire doors are blocked open all the time and exit sign lights are dead. This is an older place that has been nicely remodeled.
This hotel is outdated and needs a serious deep cleaning. So first let me say the front desk staff was amazing. They were very friendly and accommodating and that's all the positive things I can say about this hotel. The first problem was what the room smelled moldy and the carpet was damp. The windows couldn't be propped open so there was no way to air out the room. The second problem was that the bathroom want clean. There was hair in the tub left behind by the previous occupants. Third, the ceiling creaked every time the occupants above us took a step and since they were up all night, so were we. No one in my room slept the first night. The only reason we even stayed for the second night and didn't go to another hotel is because the front desk staff agreed to leave the room above us unoccupied for the next nights stay. Lastly, the only thing eatable at the continental breakfast was the prepackaged foods like cereal and yogurt and the whole fresh fruit. Everything else was not good. The biscuits were so dry they crumbled, the eggs were not real eggs but some kind of egg substitute, the gravy was a watered down prepackaged gravy that resembled something like gravy, and the waffle mix was so runny that the waffles tasted bad. My kids wouldn't even eat the waffles and that has never happened before. The waffles are usually their favorite part of staying in a hotel. So, unfortunately we did not have a good experience at this hotel and will not be going back. There are lots of other hotels in the area that we will choose ahead of this one. I do not recommend staying here, but if you decide to anyway, at least ask for a 2nd floor room so you can get some sleep and not have to listen to the ceiling creak all night.
Friendly staff. Amazing breakfast with eggs and bacon. Clean rooms. Good coffee. I was excited to eat breakfast in the morning! very happy with my stay here.
